I am a composer, songwriter, producer and session musician. As an artist I have released two studio albums and two EPs. My work with visual media has spanned film, animation, game and theatre.

For the last several years, my primary focus has been my work as a session musician. I have toured the world and recorded extensively with a few wonderful artists (Villagers, Æ Mak, Saint Sister, Jake Clemons…) but now want to start focusing on my own artist and composer careers.

I have been working on my debut as a singer with an EP of songs (linked above). I want this project to be the core of my creative output and have drawn from all of my biggest influences to find this sound. These influences range from Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver to Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm to James Blake, Jon Hopkins and Floating Points. These are self-produced demos and I have applied for funding from the Arts Council of Ireland to finish them in the studio.

Alongside my artist work, I want to expand my compositional career as a pianist and visual media composer. Linked below is the beginning of a solo piano album I intend to release along with my song project. The piano is a fundamental part of my creative process. I have developed a unique playing style which has shaped the way I approach my writing and the piano features heavily in lots of my music and I am very happy to have a body of work focussed just on this.

I have composed the soundtracks to five short films, a video game and have written a musical. I have also written bespoke music for music library catalogues. The musical is launching in Dublin this May with a full production and once that is complete I want to start focusing more on my soundtrack work. Attached is a showreel of some of my compositions.

In late 2020, I started a weekly video series in which I sat at the piano (usually in my garden) and improvised. I did this for 38 consecutive weeks and the entire series can be found on my Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channels. I then took the first 10 of these, spent several weeks mixing and mastering them and released them as an album called ‘Soft Set Sundays, Vol. 1’ which you can find here…

Before this album I released a collaborative ambient album called ‘Thresholds’, an entirely instrumental exploration of piano, synth and string compositions…

In anticipation of my future artist releases, I undertook an intense digital marketing course last year and have developed a very involved collection of strategies that I have started to employ on my social media channels. I have only scratched the surface with these processes and am very excited to dive further in.

I am now seeking someone to collaborate with on the business aspect of my career and help me further my goals as an artist and composer. I also hope to find a suitable house to represent the publishing of my artist releases and pitch my music for sync placements as I believe much of my output is highly suited to visual media.
