Looking after his sickly father in the depths of rural Ireland, Tommy has succumbed to a life of loneliness and isolation. Dylan, his older and more accomplished sister, has returned home to offer a solution that could give Tommy a chance to live the life he deserves. However, letting go of things is much more difficult than both of them had first imagined.

A synth-driven, ambient and sparse soundtrack accompanies this film, composed and produced by Kevin Corcoran.

"The soundtrack for Backwater hit all the right notes. The film takes place in a bleak setting, but there is a lot going on with the characters. I needed a soundtrack that reflected that; to show the hearts of the characters, or the turmoil deep within. It worked, and there wasn't a dry eye when it was screened at the Galway Film Fleadh." - Brendan McCallion, director of 'Backwater'.

The soundtrack is available as an EP on all streaming and download services.

Breastfriends is an unconventional coming of age story that explores the blurred lines of female intimacy.

Kevin Corcoran's soundtrack combines rich synth textures with gentle piano playing and driving electronic drum beats. Kevin's vocal also features heavily throughout the score, sometimes as a textural device, sometimes as the focal point of the music.
